Experience the Scenic Beauty of the Tejo River and Beyond
Begin your journey by admiring the majestic Tejo River as you traverse the iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge, an impressive 17 km long, making it one of the longest bridges in Europe. Our first stop will be the Castle of Palmela, where you can enjoy panoramic views in all directions. For a memorable photo opportunity, we will ascend to the castle tower.
Continue your exploration through the picturesque Arrábida wine region, characterized by its lush vineyards, cork oaks, and olive trees. Here, you will visit a charming family-owned winery situated within Arrábida Park, where you can relax and indulge in exquisite local wines.
Experience one of Portugal’s most breathtaking scenic drives, with opportunities to capture stunning photographs from the highest point of the Arrábida Natural Park (at 500 meters), offering magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and the serene Portinho da Arrábida beach.
We will take a break for lunch in the delightful fishing village of Sesimbra, where you will have time to unwind on the beach before we resume our journey.
Next, enjoy a guided visit to one of the oldest and most esteemed wineries in Azeitão, still operated by the founding family since the early 19th century. You will have the opportunity to taste both moscatel and red wine, immersing yourself in the region’s rich viticultural heritage.
Finally, we will visit the Sanctuary of Christ the King, inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, where you can take in breathtaking views of Lisbon and the Tejo River. Our excursion will conclude with a return to Lisbon across the scenic 25th of April Bridge.
